For most shops it's a diamond-ground epoxy system with a chemical-resistant polyaspartic topcoat. It keeps oil, brake fluid and coolant on the surface, resists hot-tire pickup and takes dropped tools and floor jacks. Flake adds grip and hides wear; solid color makes the bays brighter.

Chemicals & Tires
The topcoat resists oil, ATF, coolant and brake fluid, and keeps them on the surface. Wipe spills the same day, since chemicals left standing aren't covered by the warranty.
Not on a floor that's bonded right. Hot-tire pickup happens when a coating sits on a slick slab instead of keying into ground concrete. We grind every floor and finish with a polyaspartic topcoat that resists it.
Smooth, oily epoxy can be. We use flake for texture and add anti-slip aggregate to the topcoat in wash bays and work areas.
Install & Downtime
Most bays are walkable in about 4 hours and back to vehicles in 24. Larger shops are done a few bays at a time, so you keep working.
Tell us where your lifts are at the estimate. Coating before a lift goes in is simplest; with lifts in place, we plan the job around them.
Diamond grinding to a CSP 2-3 profile, degreasing where oil has soaked in, crack repair and a moisture test. If the slab reads high, a moisture-mitigation primer goes down first.
Care & Warranty
Sweep, then mop or scrub with a degreaser. Hose it down where you have drains. No waxing or sealing.
It covers the installed system: bond failure, peeling and delamination, which are the things prep decides. It doesn't cover impact gouges, chemicals left standing, or damage from work done on the floor after install. It runs 25 years and transfers with the building.
Front of house can match the bays or go more decorative. Flake hides wear; metallic gives a high-end finish. Same prep and topcoat as the shop floor.
