Apex installs epoxy and polyaspartic garage floors across Pinellas County — our own crews, a written 25-year warranty, and most homes finished in a single day. Clearwater's tighter bays just mean more edge work.
The visit's free, it takes about half an hour, and there's $200 off a 2-car or $300 off a 3-car right now. You'll have the price before we leave.
1-Day Epoxy Garage Floor Coating Installation
From older slab-on-grade garages to newer builds across the Clearwater area, Apex installs every coating system the Clearwater area needs.
The number is itemized and it's final. On a lot this tight we'd rather spend the visit measuring clearances than inventing a deadline for you.
Diamond grinding on every slab, no exceptions — and in a bay with two pours in it, both halves get profiled to the same CSP 2-3 whether they want to or not.
Walk on it in 4 hours. Drive on it in 24. Back to normal by tomorrow.
Written, transferable, and backed by the local Apex location that installed it.
“I’m so happy with my coating! These folks are wonderful at what they do.”
“Elite level flooring from Apex. They use a commercial grade product that lasts a lifetime.”
“Apex Epoxy Flooring did a great job on my basement. The crew was easy to deal with and knew what they were doing. Can’t wait to have them do my garage next.”
A single-bay garage floor coating off a Skycrest driveway and a rinse room behind a Clearwater Beach kitchen are two different builds. Hover an industry to see which one we would quote. Hover any industry to see the fit.

Most Clearwater bays are one or two cars, which means more perimeter per square foot of floor than a big suburban three-car has. So the edges are where the time goes — the door line, the wall coves, the step up into the house. Under that it's the usual build: 100%-solids epoxy keyed into a ground slab, full flake, aliphatic polyaspartic. All of it under the written 25-year warranty.

Away from the main bay, Clearwater work splits two ways. In Harbor Oaks and the older streets off Fort Harrison it's a detached garage or carriage house sitting on some of the oldest concrete in the city — small, hand-finished, usually painted at least once. Out on Clearwater Beach and Island Estates it's ground-floor parking under living space, where a rental turnover schedule decides the install date more than we do.

Most peeling epoxy floor installations don't fail at the topcoat — Roll a door up in Skycrest or Morningside Estates and you are often looking at two floors. The original 1950s bay was poured one year; the carport beside it got walls, a door and a slab of its own decades later. Same room, two different concretes, and a coating that ignores the difference tells on itself inside a year. Here is the stack, and where in it that seam gets dealt with.
Nothing in this system is designed around frost. It's designed around salt a mile west, a water table a few feet down, and a Pinellas bay that is frequently two ages of concrete pretending to be one floor.
Your existing slab, mechanically profiled to a Concrete Surface Profile of 2 to 3. Cracks patched. Moisture verified. Every layer above only lasts if this one is right.
A pigmented, self-leveling 100%-solids epoxy rolled wet-on-wet directly onto the diamond-ground slab. Delivers the color depth and the film thickness that separates a real floor from a paint job.
Vinyl chip flakes hand-broadcast into the wet basecoat until the surface refuses more. Cured overnight, scraped flat, vacuumed. Color, camouflage, and slip-grip in one.
On this stretch of coast the last layer is mostly a chloride problem. Salt air works into anything porous and pits it from the inside out; a seamless, fully bonded film gives it no pore to start in. That film is a clear UV-stable aliphatic polyaspartic — it holds color through afternoon sun on a west-facing bay off Gulf-to-Bay, takes tires still hot off the Courtney Campbell, and carries the written 25-year warranty. It transfers, too, which on a Clearwater Beach property that changes hands every few years is not a small thing.
Somebody stands on your slab with a moisture meter, finds the carport seam if there is one, and leaves a single installed number behind.
We mechanically diamond-grind your slab to the right profile.
100% solids epoxy, flake broadcast, and polyaspartic topcoat.
We walk the finished floor with you before we leave.
Most of these visits end with the price already written — measurements taken, a moisture reading on the slab, flake boards set down on the floor they're meant for. Prefer to start with questions? (904) 595-9792 reaches somebody who's actually run a grinder.
None of these came from a catalog. They're our own installs — garages, commercial kitchens, warehouse bays, utility rooms — and the gold divider on each one pulls back to the slab we were handed. Look at the corners in the before shots; that's usually where the old coating gave up first. Drag the gold handle on any floor to reveal the finished result.

Your price comes down to the finish you choose and the condition of your slab. These are honest, installed starting prices for a typical Clearwater 2-car and 3-car garage.
| Finish | Starting Price | 2-Car (~450 sq ft) | 3-Car (~650 sq ft) | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solid Epoxy | $4per sq ft | ~$1,800 | ~$2,600 | Clean, budget-friendly single color |
| Flake EpoxyMost Popular | $6per sq ft | $2,700 $2,300 | $3,900 $2,700 | Most garages — hides flaws, adds grip |
| Quartz Epoxy | $6per sq ft | ~$2,700 | ~$3,900 | Maximum slip resistance & durability |
| Metallic Epoxy | $9per sq ft | ~$4,050 | ~$5,850 | High-end, marbled showpiece look |
You'll get one figure at the free estimate and it holds — no trip fee, no fuel surcharge, and no line item that appears once the grinder's already running. A bay out on Sand Key or Island Estates prices off the same sheet as one in Skycrest. The causeway is our problem, not yours.

We use a diamond propane grinder to meticulously prepare your floor, ensuring a smooth, flawless surface that maximizes the adhesion and longevity of your epoxy floor coating.
Our team applies multiple layers of premium epoxy resin flooring, each layer enhancing the durability, aesthetics, and overall performance of your new epoxy floor.
We ensure the epoxy floor coating cures properly to achieve maximum strength and conduct a thorough final inspection to guarantee your complete satisfaction with the finished project.
We use both — that's the whole point. Epoxy goes down first because it grips the ground profile and builds the film thickness you're paying for. Aliphatic polyaspartic goes over the top because it holds its color in daylight and takes a car in 24 hours. Run them in that order and neither material has to do the other one's job.
The questions Clearwater homeowners actually search before coating a garage floor — answered honestly, including the downsides.
Blake and his crew did a great job of preparing our previously coated floor by diamond grinding it, vacuuming it and then applying their epoxy with flakes and non slip top coat. Our garage floor was transformed. The crew was friendly and communication on all aspects of the job was top notch.
What a great experience working with Apex Epoxy Flooring! The team was professional, punctual, detailed, and gave me great advice for maintaing the floor. My 20x22 sqft garage floor has never looked so good.

Apex's suggestion to go with epoxy instead of floor paint when I first called them for info was spot on. We’re really happy with how our basement floor turned out and the fact that it is safe if it floods agian. Big thanks to Apex for a fabulous job!

Apex Epoxy Flooring of Clearwater gave my two car garage a flake epoxy floor for a very decent price. Their deal on the 2 car garage is well worth the product they use. If you need epoxy work around Clearwater, Apex is the way to go.
